Our story
Born from a real problem
Companies wanted to measure and cut impact, and to meet the rules. What they had was something else: spreadsheets, consultants who deliver a PDF, and the same data copied into every framework. They were missing a system to govern environmental data with the same rigor as finance.
That is why we built Manglai in Barcelona. Software that captures company activity, calculates with maintained emission-factor libraries, and keeps evidence for verification. It is not a sustainability CMS. It is the operational record for carbon, water, and waste.
Our mission
Turn data into something companies can actually use
Any company should be able to measure environmental impact and act on it, without first hiring a team of specialists.
We build software to collect, calculate, and govern that data. The point is not only this year's report. It is operational clarity: what the company emits, where the number comes from, and what can change.
The platform
An operating system for environmental data
The company enters activity once. Manglai reuses it in the frameworks an auditor, regulator, or customer asks for.
Collect once
AI invoices, spreadsheet import, buildings, vehicles, business travel, waste, and purchases. The datum lands in the inventory, not in another folder.
Report across frameworks
GHG Protocol, ISO 14064, CSRD / ESRS, GLEC / ISO 14083, SQAS, and the Spanish MITECO carbon-footprint registry. One inventory, different outputs.
Supply chain and Scope 3
Purchases, logistics, and suppliers sit in the same system. Scope 3 stops being a side estimate outside the inventory.
Evidence for verification
Emission factors, calculation traces, and source documents stay tied to the datum. That holds for ISO 14064 and the MITECO registry, not only for a slide.
API and MCP
The REST API, OpenAPI spec, and MCP server let an agent or a backend read and write environmental data. Manglai is not a handmade PDF.

How we decide
We fix what is broken
If the inventory lives in a spreadsheet, we do not add another report. We find the cause and put the datum where it can be reused.
Data before the story
Inventory, evidence, and calculation come first. Sustainability copy comes from that. The other way around does not survive an audit.
We say what we mean
If a datum is missing, we say so. If a framework does not apply, we say that too. An honest inventory beats an inflated report.
The software has to run
Manglai is used every week, not once a year. If it does not fit invoices, fleet, or waste, it does not work.
