The Non-Financial Information Statement (EINF) is the mandatory report in Spain, established by Law 11/2018. It applies to companies with more than 250 employees that are public-interest entities, or that exceed EUR 20 million in assets or EUR 40 million in net turnover for two consecutive financial years, and requires them to publish information on their environmental, social, and corporate governance performance. It is the Spanish transposition of the Non-Financial Reporting Directive (NFRD), now repealed by the CSRD, and it remains in force while Spain completes its CSRD transposition, which is still going through parliament. For companies that fall within the scope of the CSRD after Directive (EU) 2026/470 (more than 1,000 employees and over EUR 450 million in net turnover), the EINF will give way to the sustainability report under the ESRS standards.
