About the levels of the MITECO seal, phases and operation
The MITECO seal is a dynamic recognition awarded annually to companies that demonstrate their commitment to sustainability. it is made up of three phases, each representing a different level of action against climate change.

Calculation stamp
Requirements
- calculate the carbon footprint of the previous year. - applicable to companies with more than one year of activity. - estimated time: 3-6 months the first year, approximately 2 months in subsequent years.
Process
1. calculate the carbon footprint using the GHG protocol methodology (scopes 1, 2 and 3). 2. submit documentation that includes: - description of the business activity and emission sources. - plan and commitment to reduce emissions. - registration form and completed MITECO calculator. - legal documentation (certificate of legal capacity, deed of incorporation). - company logo.

Reduzco stamp
Requirements
- have calculated the carbon footprint for 4 consecutive years. - demonstrate a reduction in emissions. - estimated time: 4 years for the first certification, approximately 2 months in subsequent years.
Process
- two trienniums are compared: - triennium a: average carbon footprint for years 1, 2 and 3. - triennium b: average carbon footprint for years 2, 3 and 4. - if the average for triennium b is lower than that of triennium a, the “i reduce” seal is obtained. - the company's activity index is considered to normalize business growth.

Compensation stamp
Requirements
- have the carbon footprint calculated for at least one year. - offset a minimum of 1 ton of co2. - estimated time: between 1 and 8 months approximately.

1. buy co2 from reforestation projects registered with MITECO. 2. create your own reforestation project and register it in MITECO.
